Classic Studio
DESCRIPTION: The Classic Studio is the Dancz Center for New Music's link to
the past. An entry level laboratory containing half-track "magnetic" tape recorders,
an ARP 2600, and an ARP 2500 modular voltage control synthesizer, the studio
provides students and faculty alike the opportunity to explore analog sounds
for creative purposes. Inter-studio communication allows users to transfer these
sounds to the digital domain, if desired, for further processing using the software
and hardware available in Studio Main and Studio MIDI. The Classic Studio is
scheduled by contacting the Director, Roger
and Phyllis Dancz Center for New Music.
